Finance Subject Matter Expert

Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable financial expert to help us produce a podcast style video about financial literacy.

The financial expert will provide guidance on key personal finance topics including: Emergency Savings, Debt Repayment, Budgeting, Small Business management, Homeownership and Savings Goals. 

The ideal candidate will help develop actionable strategies tailored to our clients’ needs. Your expertise will play a crucial role in assisting individuals achieve financial stability and growth. The SME will play a critical role in shaping the project by providing subject-specific insights, supporting video content design, and serving as a resource for the Production department.

The ideal candidate will be based in Los Angeles, California, and will be comfortable appearing on camera.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide expertise and in-depth knowledge in specified financial areas, specifically Emergency Savings, Debt Repayment, Budgeting, Small Business management, Homeownership and Savings Goals for project and program initiatives.

– Assist in the design, outline, and creation of talking points for video content to ensure clarity and accuracy of financial concepts.

– Familiarize and utilize appropriate terminology and jargon relevant to the finance industry to communicate effectively.

– Offer recommendations for improvements related to project content and execution to enhance overall deliverables.

– Serve as the primary point of contact for the Production department regarding questions and challenges specific to the finance topics.

– Effectively resolve issues pertaining to program deliverables within the SME’s area of expertise.

– Actively participate in 2-3 remote preparation meetings leading up to the filming of the project.

– Commit to being available for filming for a duration of 4-6 hours on a weekday on the Los Angeles, CA area. 

– The filming date has not been solidified, but may shoot the week of January 27th. 

Qualifications:

– Extensive knowledge and expertise in financial subjects, particularly in Emergency Savings, Debt Repayment, Budgeting, Small Business management, Homeownership and Savings Goals.

– Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner.

– Comfortable with on-camera appearances and engaging with an audience.

– Based in Los Angeles, California, with availability that accommodates the project timeline.

– Compensation for this role is set at a total of $1,000 USD
